LINDA GEIST

Linda Kay Geist was born 1/30/1944 in Maywood California. She married Jerald Geist in Lewiston Idaho on 7/6/1960. Together they had two children. In her early years of marriage she was a young homemaker and cared for many neighborhood children as her own..
Linda graduated Antelope Valley College LVN program in 1988 and had a diverse nursing career driving medical transport for Medi Ride and ambulance driver/EMT at Willow Springs Raceway. She went on to be a medication nurse at Mayflower Gardens and then made such a difference in the lives of many as a drug dependency counselor at Western Pacific addiction treatment center for many years. After a brief sabbatical and further education, Linda went to work at Antelope Valley College as a job placement specialist where she again made such a positive difference in the lives of many. She enjoyed coordinating many craft fairs at Antelope Valley College over the years. She retired from AVC in 2008.
Linda was a friend to all, a magnet to many and never knew a stranger. She will be remembered for her loving heart and incredibly witty sense of humor.
She is survived by Jerald, her husband of 63 years . Her children Tammy Hartwell ( Steve) of Bend Oregon and Jerald Jr ( Stacey) of Mollala Oregon. Her greatest joy was her grandchildren, Brandon, Kyle, Kamren, Kayla, Alexis and Kylee and great grandson Jaxson. Her brother Gary (Stephanie ) sisters Cheri and Lori (Don) .She was preceded in death by her beloved parents Walt and Tiny Nanson.
There will be no services as it was Linda's wish that those who loved her celebrate her everyday in their own way. She will be so very missed but the family is comforted in the knowledge that she lived her life "her way" Blessed be .
