Obituary for Lisa Ann` Hall

Lisa Ann Hall was born in Hawaii on November 12, 1961 and was the only child of Bruce William Hall and Ann Mary Matilda Hall (nee Porter).

The family eventually moved to California and in 1979 Lisa graduated from Butte Valley High School in Dorris, California. Lisa then graduated from Cosmotology School but found her true calling in the early 1980's when she accepted a position in public safety for the City of Dorris. In 1989, when the 911 Communication Center in Klamath Falls, Oregon opened it's doors, Lisa went to work as a dispatcher for them and continued in this position until her retirement in October 2017 when diagnosed with Stage IV metastatic breast cancer. Prior to the 911 Communication Center, she worked as a dispatcher for the City of Klamath Falls.

Although Lisa never married or had children of her own, she adopted numerous four-legged fur babies over the years, as well as taking in strays. She lavished all of her fur babies with so much love and attention, making sure they wanted for nothing. Often, she would have five or six at one time. They were her life and brought her great comfort.

Lisa was a very loving, devoted daughter, providing great care for her mom. In fact, Lisa introduced her mom to Marshall Hamilton and in 1981, when the two married, she served as Maid of Honor. Lisa loved the fact that she now had step-siblibgs, along with two very special nieces, Tonya and Michele.

When she was younger, Lisa loved to go cruising and loved to roller skate. In fact, she met one of her closest friends, Sharon, at the roller rink in the early eighties.

Say the word "travel" and Lisa was in! She went on numerous cruises, as well as trekking to Reno, Nevada with her mom as often as possible. The ocean was her favorite place to spend time away and a favorite destination was Hawaii. She and another of her dearest friends, Karren, spent time there in 2017 and were planning another trip this winter.

Lisa loved entertaining, a good party and karaoke! Camping and fishing were just a couple of her favorite hobbies. Perhaps this is why spring and summer were her favorite times of year and the hotter, the better!

Lisa was the "Mistress of Knowledge" when it came to music and movies. Concerts, though, were her favorite! She loved Elvis and in earlier years her home that she referred to as "The Redneck Mansion" reflected this. She was a classic rock enthusiast and Leonard Skynyrd was her favorite southern rock performer whom she paid tribute to by getting her Lynard Skynard tattoo. Overall, though, it was The Eagles, hands down, that she enjoyed most.

After her stepfather's passing, Lisa once again stepped into the role of looking after her mom and, in latter years when her mom was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease, devoted herself to making sure her mom had the best possible care, along with anything she could possibly want. Lisa's love of decorating was known to all and she made sure her mom's place was very festive for each holiday and every season!

Lisa had a big heart and was always doing things for others. She would bring her Aunt Robie to spend a month at a time with her a couple of months each year. One of her biggest joys was crocheting special gifts for the employees at Pelican Pointe in appreciation for the love and care given to her mom.

Along with her calm, soothing demeanor, Lisa was known for her razor sharp tongue, quick wit and sarcasm. One of Lisa's favorite things to do was make others play the guessing game."Guess what I am doing?" or "Guess where I am going?" and so on. She made you drag the answers out of her!

Lisa wanted others to think she was one tough cookie when, in reality, she was all marshmallow underneath the tough exterior. When others would say so, she often remarked, "Don't let that get out, you will ruin my reputation as a badass."

Lisa adored the children of her closest family and dearest friends who referred to her as their "Auntie Liza." She spoiled them as much as she did her fur babies.

Lisa was taken from us on Sunday, December 15, 2019 after a strong and courageous battle against cancer. She fought until her final breath. Her greatest concern was the love and care of her beloved pets. Fortunately, there was no limit to the people willing to step up and provide the loving homes Lisa wanted for them. She was so grateful for this burden being lifted.

Lisa leaves numerous family members and friends that she considers family to cherish her memory. Lisa's desire to be cremated was carried out. She will be laid to rest in Klamath Falls, Oregon, with her beloved mom, at a later date.
