He grew up in Salinas California and went to Spreckles Elementary and Salinas High School. He moved to the Antelope Valley in 1986. His career was carpentry and wood working. Hobbies included fishing, camping and spending time with the family.
He was preceded in death by his mother Janice Barnes.
He is survived by his sons Justin Barnes of Rosamond California and Joshua Barnes of Vonore Tennessee. Daughter-in-laws Ashlee Barnes of Vonore Tennessee and Alyssa Schmeck of Rosamond California. Sisters Mitzi Barnes-Mariscal of Kingman Arizona and Tina Hughes of Buckeye Arizona. Grandsons Justin and Winston Barnes of Rosamond California. Niece Jamie Monroy of Buckeye Arizona. Great niece and nephews Breanna, Andrew, Tyler and David of Arizona. Great-great-nieces and nephews Zabrina, Colt, Wren and Zaine of Arizona. As well as many other extended family and friends.
