Francisco Javier Loera Enriquez

November 29, 1949 — January 2, 2021

Francisco Javier Loera Enriquez, 71, of Lancaster, California, passed away on January 2, 2021 in Sylmar, California. Javier was tragically taken from us too soon due to COVID-19.
Javier was born in Jalisco, Mexico to Guadalupe Enriquez and Francisco Javier Loera on November 29, 1949. At just 7 months old he and his family moved to Juarez, Mexico where he was raised. He started working at a very young age helping his uncle take care of the farm animals where his love for animals began. In the early 70s he migrated to the San Fernando Valley, California to seek new adventure.
Javier was a man of many trades given his extensive work experiences as a gardener, cook, machinist, and various warehouse jobs until discovering his natural aptitude for recreating and revitalizing woodwork through the art of wood finishing. He soon embarked on his entrepreneurship as a highly sought-after, independent Wood Finisher for over 40 years. Aside from being a hard worker, he was strong, fearless, humorous, habitual, and mischievous. While also being loving, caring, and sensitive. His hobbies consisted of being physically active, lifting weights, and playing soccer late into his 40’s. He enjoyed tending to goats and most livestock, but was absolutely passionate about chickens and roosters! He would also go on to build a reputation for being one of the top caretakers and breeders of roosters in the San Fernando Valley. Javier very much enjoyed listening to his favorite type of music genre, Norteñas con Tololoche. One of his favorite songs was “Corrido de Chihuahua''. We will forever miss his smile and laughter as he listened to his music.
He is survived by his partner Maria De Jesus Lopez and their children Jacqueline Loera, Katherine Loera, Francisco Javier Loera, Aaron Christopher Lopez, and by his ex-wife Elsa Loera and their children Sergio Javier Loera, Eric Loera, Giselle Loera Vafadar.
The family wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Olive View-UCLA Medical Center’s medical staff for their care and for being with him during his final days. A memorial service will be held in the future when social distancing guidelines are less restrictive.
