Casey you were like a father to me ever since we met about 9 years ago. You have been there for me and my mom and have been my mom's very best friend. I am grateful for the blessing of knowing and loving you. You will forever be in our hearts. And you will always be to me the best Chef ever 😊

There are no words left to say about a man so loved and cherished as Casey was to us. We were there when you got the news about the cancer and we cried right along side of you. We (after much stubborness) got you home to be with family. I just wish they had more time with you. We saw how quickly that disease overtook you body but not your spirit. So sorry others didnt get a chance to say goodbye. RIP our dearest friend. We miss you.
Much love,
Bob and Kathy

Casey has been my friend the past few years and I will miss his presence in my life. I was around casey in his final weeks and I have never witnessed such a lack of complaint in a man. Casey had a strength that should be admired.

To Caseys family;
I am sorry for your loss. Casey had a special character and I am glad to have known him. I hope you can find some comfort in knowing that those things we have once enjoyed we can never really loose. He will be with us all forever.

You taught me how to play centipede, you were like a big brother, yet you were kind of mean to me when I was in my early teens, our friendship began to change when I was 19 we would take walks in the park and talk about good times hanging out at your house, stupid stuff we did like listening to Rush and smoking a joint, pitching a tent in your backyard, me running through the screen door after passing out in the tent. You thought that was funny stuff, you laughed at how every time I got high I would clean your house.

I live a sober life but doesn't mean I have forgotten our fun adolescence lives we lived.

I enjoyed reuniting our friendship when I moved to Portland, hanging out from time to time, I remember how you road your bike to visit me at Costco you said it was good to be near a family friend someone from the neighborhood when you saw me.

We talked about your dad and mom and how they meant the world to us and how we missed your dad.

You said you would teach me to play chest since your dad didn't get a chance to finish teaching me, by the way I still don't know how and yes lemon drops still remind me of your dad.

Many people come and go on this earth but Casey you will always live on in my memories, sorry I didn't keep in touch when I moved back to Washington but I didn't stop thinking of my friend Casey Shaw and his wonderful family.

Rest in peace my friend the demons will be replaced with Angel's and you can rest in peace my friend.
